UTMB Mallorca in the heart of the Tramuntana mountains

In November 2025, Mallorca once again forms part of the official UTMB World Series calendar. The finish line is set in Port de Sóller, right in the valley where we lead many of our trail running tours.

The course crosses some of the most spectacular landscapes of the Serra de Tramuntana: summits, ridgelines and dry-stone paths that are part of our heritage and have long been the stage of great mountain races on the island.

What is UTMB and what defines the Mallorca edition?

UTMB (Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc) is an international circuit bringing together trail races worldwide. In Mallorca, the event offers several distances, from ultratrail to shorter races, all starting in the mountains and finishing by the sea. The Mallorcan edition stands out for its contrast: rugged limestone peaks and a Mediterranean finish line.

Tips for registered runners

  1. Know the terrain: the Tramuntana is rocky and technical, with tough descents. Train in similar conditions.
  2. Weather in November: expect rain and humidity; always carry a light jacket and windbreaker.
  3. Hydration strategy: unlike the Alps, water sources are scarce; plan accordingly.
  4. Accommodation: the Sóller valley will be the hub. Book early.
  5. Specific training: uphill intervals, technical downhills, and long runs in the mountains.

What if you didn’t get a bib?

UTMB Mallorca is in high demand, and many runners don’t get a spot. But you don’t need to wait another year:

  • Discover the same summits and trails in a smaller, personalized setting.
  • We also organize exclusive routes across the island and full training weeks.

A special event, but not the only one

Trail running in Mallorca has a long history. Before UTMB arrived, high-level races were already part of the island’s calendar. UTMB Mallorca adds to that tradition and brings international attention, but the paths, the mountains, and the passion for trail running in the Tramuntana were here long before.

Conclusion

UTMB Mallorca 2025 is a unique event that puts the Sóller valley on the world trail map. For participants, it’s an unforgettable challenge; for others, a chance to experience the landscape differently.
